Premisut UCT cotton tape in indicated for use in tying the umbilical cord of new born infant. It is also frequently used in pediatric and cardiovascular operative procedures to suspend small structures and vessels. Umbilical tape easily absorbs blood when used in an area of gross bleeding.

Premisut UCT cotton tape is strong enough to tie off the umbilical cord and for suspention of small structures and vessels. It elicits a minimal initial inflammatory reaction in tissues.

Premisut STEEL suture is intended for use in abdominal wound closure, hernia repair, sternal closure and orthopaedic procedures including cerclage and tendon repair.

Indicated for surgical procedures which require sutures with high tensile strength, such as in conditions like abdominal wound closure, hernia repair, sternal closure and orthopaedic procedures including cerclage and tendon repair.

Premisut POLYESTER suture is intended for use in general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation, including use in cardiovascular, ophthalmic and neurological tissues.

Premisut POLYESTER suture being braided enables secured knots. It is soft and pliable and very easy to handle. It elicits a minimal initial inflammatory reaction in tissues which is followed by gradual encapsulation of the suture by fibrous connective tissue. Premisut POLYESTER suture is not absorbed, nor is it subjected to degradation or weakening by the action of tissue enzymes. Due to its relative biological inertness, it is recommended for use in tissues, where the least possible suture reaction is desired.

Premisut POLYPROPYLENE suture is intended for use in general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation, including use in cardiovascular, ophthalmic and neurological tissues.

Premisut POLYPROPYLENE suture being a monofilament suture is remarkably smooth and easy to handle. It does not have interstices in its structure and being a monofilament suture, has been successfully employed in surgical wounds which could subsequently become infected or contaminated where it can minimize later sinus formation and suture extrusion. It elicits a minimal initial inflammatory reaction in tissues which is followed by gradual encapsulation of the suture by fibrous connective tissue. It is neither absorbed, nor it is subjected to degradation or weakening by the action of tissue enzymes. Due to its relative biological inertness, it is recommended for use in tissues, where the least possible suture reaction is desired. Because of its lack of adherence to tissues, it is effective as a pull out suture.

Premisut NYLON suture is intended for use in general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation, including use in cardiovascular, ophthalmic and neurological tissues.

Premisut NYLON suture elicits a minimal initial inflammatory reaction in tissue which is followed by gradual encapsulation of suture by fibrous connective tissue. While Premisut NYLON suture is not absorbed, progressive hydrolysis of suture in vivo may result in gradual loss of tensile strength over a period of time.

Premisut SILK suture is intended for use in general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation, including use in cardiovascular, ophthalmic and neurological tissues.

Premisut SILK suture elicits an initial inflammatory reaction in tissues, which is followed by gradual encapsulation of the suture by fibrous connective tissue. While Premisut SILK suture is not absorbed, progressive degradation of the proteinaceous silk fibres in vivo may result in gradual loss of the suture's tensile strength over a period of time.
