Nylon - Polyamide

Overview
Premisut NYLON suture [Polyamide(Premisut NYLON)], is a sterile synthetic monofilament non-absorbable surgical suture prepared from a copolymer of Polyamide 6 and Polyamide 6/6 (Premisut NYLON 6 and Premisut NYLON 6/6). Premisut NYLON suture is available in black and blue dyed forms.

Premisut NYLON suture is intended for use in general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation, including use in cardiovascular, ophthalmic and neurological tissues.

Premisut NYLON suture elicits a minimal initial inflammatory reaction in tissue which is followed by gradual encapsulation of suture by fibrous connective tissue. While Premisut NYLON suture is not absorbed, progressive hydrolysis of suture in vivo may result in gradual loss of tensile strength over a period of time.

The technical characteristics may slightly vary or be adjusted depending on the needs of each market (e.g. coating, tensile strength, needle composition, packaging etc)
